Strategic Compassion

In Articles, Culture, Mission, Social Issues, Spiritual Growth by Kirk Giles

One of the men I admire most in Christian leadership in Canada is Barry Slauenwhite. You may not know him, but you will know the ministry he leads. Barry is the President and CEO of Compassion Canada – a ministry releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

In this Promise Keepers Canada podcast, Barry and I talk about the gospel-centric strategy to winning the fight against poverty. This refreshing perspective on poverty will be helpful for all of us. It will require us to be strategic in our compassion, focusing on the full depth and breadth of Jesus’ good news for the poor. In addition, I hope you will be inspired by Barry – a man full of faith and a desire to be part of Jesus’ mission for this world.
