Theme of the Week: Living Out the Victory
Bible Verse: “Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.” Revelation 21:7 ESV
Scripture Reading: Revelation 21:7; 1 John 4:4
The Bible gives the promise of eternal life and relationship with God to the victorious. This is not meant to be some form of intimidation but rather a promise. We are designed by God to be victorious because Jesus has won the victory on our behalf. He then has provided the Holy Spirit to empower us for victorious living.
We are never alone in the battle. God’s indwelling presence is always there, ready to provide the truth and the strength to resist temptation, make wise choices, walk in the love of God, and overcome the devil.
- We are victorious because of who we are in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- We are victorious because we are dead to sin and alive to God. (Romans 6:11)
- We are victorious because we put our trust in God. (1 John 5:4-5)
- We are victorious because we are living for the eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18)
- We are victorious because as we submit to God, we have power to resist the devil. (James 4:7)
- We are victorious because we are given the victory through Jesus Christ! (1 Corinthians 15:57)
Go and live life with these truths and with this power!
