Be Still

Theme of the Week: Listening With Jesus

Bible Verse: He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

Listening has never been at the top of my “strengths” list. Just ask my close friends and family.

For whatever reason, it took me far too long to learn that it’s not polite to interject, and finish people’s sentences for them. Who knew?

Needless to say, I have had to learn a lot when it comes to listening… and not only in my relationship with my friends and family. I’ve had to learn a lot about listening in my relationship with God.

Learning to slow down and listen is something that can transform your spiritual walk with God. Maybe that’s why God said “Be still and know that I am God”.

Could it be, that there are things only learned about God when we quiet ourselves, or take moments to pause?

What are we missing by not slowing down to listen?

When we hit pause, it helps us trust God, navigate our doubts, and follow him more closely.

This week we are going to be learning from Todd Stahl about all those things as he helps us be still and know God a little better.
