Change Beyond Resolutions

Theme of the Week: Change Beyond Resolutions

Bible Verse: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know … what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.” Ephesians 1:18-19

Change is hard!

Some years I try to set a bunch of resolutions. Other years I give up. I know I’m going to break them anyway.

We need a uniquely Christian view of how to change. After all, we’re not alone. God himself has promised to help us change. According to Ephesians 1:18-19, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us. We don’t need to change by ourselves. God promises us his supernatural power.

What can we do, practically speaking, to change? That’s what we’re going to look at this week. I can’t wait to get started with you.

Prayer: Dear God, I pray you would open my eyes to see you more clearly in the days ahead. As I look at you, may you change my heart and help me become more like you.
