Theme of the Week: Rebuilding Intimacy

One of the biggest tactics the enemy is using against men today is silence. He is trying to quiet our voice, tame our intensity, and reduce our leadership. And while these agendas are nothing new, they are relevant now more than ever.
But you know what – the agendas of the enemy are not the problem. You know what the real issue is? We partner with them. If you and I resisted the schemes of man and the enemy, we could live godly, healthy, well-connected lives.
Leading, taking charge, and not backing down, are important qualities for men. We must use this energy to pursue God with all we have.
I still remember the day I proposed to my wife. At the end of a scavenger hunt, she was led to my closed bedroom door. I was on the other side, on one knee (trembling and shaking), ready to pop the big Q the moment she walked in.
You and I have been invited to experience a fluid, dynamic relationship with God where we are equally seen, known, and understood. God has done EVERYTHING under the sun to make this possible.
He’s on the other side of the door ready for you to enter. Yes, it may be risky. Yes, it may be painful. And yes, it could be just a bit awkward when you set out. But I promise you, it is worth it.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
