Spiritual Reset & Renewal Recap

In Daily Devotional by Paul Fraser

Theme of the Week: Spiritual Reset & Renewal

Bible Verse: For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish. Jeremiah 31:25

Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 31:23-30

I hope you have enjoyed this week’s devotionals. I wanted to recap what we covered this week.

Reference for Rest – We need time to stop working, settle down with God, quiet our hearts and let him speak. God desires to spend time with us – How incredible is that?!

Reminder of Relationship – How many of you are weary? How many of you are burdened? How many of you are tired? The answer is quite simple: Come to Jesus! You will find rest for your souls!

Regular Reliance – We can know that regular reliance on God in everyday living can recharge the soul. Take a moment to take your focus off all the tasks in front of you and focus on him. Give him the first word and last word of each day so that you can build your faith.

Recharge Through Repentance – Recharging is good, but so is identifying what’s causing the drain in the soul. Be reminded today that sin is a draw on our soul and that repenting (turning away) from sin keeps the right connection with God strong.

Right Routines – Recharging the soul must have the right routines and rhythms. How do we do that? We don’t need to look any further than to what Jesus modelled for us. Want to stay fully charged? Stay fully connected!

God, for everyone reading this today, I ask you to recharge their souls. Give them discernment on what causes a drain on their lives. Give them wisdom to develop better routines and rhythms. Most of all, help them to find a greater connection with You. In your name, I pray, Amen!
