Theme of the Week: Change Beyond Resolutions

Bible Verse: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know … what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.” Ephesians 1:18-19

It’s the second day of 2022. Have you kept your resolutions?

For real though, this is the time when we often look at the past year and and the upcoming year and try to make changes in our lives. If you’re like me, you can’t help but do this, even though you’ve tried this in the past and it hasn’t always worked.

How can we make a fresh start in 2022 without simply making new resolutions that inevitably fizzle out?

This week, we will be looking at 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 and Philippians 2:12-18 There are two passages of Scripture that can help set us on the right path. We’ve all experienced the cycle of behavior modification – start, stop, start, stop. Surely there has got to be a greater way!

What if the greater way is not to look and focus on ourselves but rather look and dive deeper into who Jesus is?

That’s the goal this week; that you will be both challenged and encouraged as we look at what the Bible says about how to change.

As we journey together, please share these devotionals with other men who could use them. And please sign up for the daily devotional if you are not already a subscriber.
