Balanced Together

Theme of the Week: Don’t Go through Life Alone

Bible Verse: But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:13 ESV

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 3:13, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Acts 20:35, Galatians 6:1

Sometimes I get the opportunity to do group facilitation. What I often say at the beginning of our time together is this: “There may not be experts in the room, but there is expertise here as we all share together”. I think it is the same with our faith communities – We all have some wisdom that others may not have. But do we share it? Or would we listen, even if it was shared with us? It takes humility to admit you need others for wisdom and direction sometimes, especially for the independent thinkers who like to figure things out on their own.

Today, we arrive back at the theme of “don’t do life alone”. Why? Because we all have something to share to help each other stay balanced. Being balanced is so important. A lack of balance could lead to falling, and nobody wants to see other men fall. So, we all need to take the responsibility to be there for one another.

The scriptures listed today speak to encouraging and exhorting one another, helping those who are weaker in faith, correcting those stuck in sin to be restored, and bringing comfort to those in need of it.

Would you take a moment right now to think of someone in your life that could use some encouragement, comfort, or even some gentle correction to help them from falling? Send a text, make a phone call, or book a coffee to connect. We need each other, maybe now more than ever!
