Bible Passage: “’Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” (Zechariah 4:6 NIV)

Scripture Reading: Psalm 121; John 6:63; 2 Corinthians 3:4-6

Walking in the Spirit is daily dependence, not occasional reliance. Yesterday’s grace does not fuel today’s obedience.

The Spirit invites men into a posture of continual need. This is not weakness. It is wisdom. Divine enablement is not reserved for crises. It’s required for faithfulness. Being aware of your need every day helps to remind you of God’s supply every day.

Every act of obedience, every resistance of sin, every step of perseverance is sustained by grace. The Spirit supplies what God commands. Andrew Murray put it well when he said, “The Spirit is given not only for moments of special need, but to be our life every day.”

To walk in the Spirit is to wake each day aware that apart from Him, we can do nothing. But with Him, we lack nothing needed for faithfulness.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I need You today. Strengthen me for obedience I cannot produce on my own. Amen.

Reflection: How would your day change if you consciously depended on the Spirit at every step? What would that look like?
