Family: We All Have One

In Daily Devotional, Family by Mauricio Rosa

Theme of the Week: Family: We All Have One

Bible Verse: “Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.” Proverbs 11:29 ESV

Scripture Reading: Psalm 133:1-3

Everyone has a family. Young and old, married and single, male and female—everyone is part of some type of family. So the book of Proverbs speaks to every one of us.

How does God help us live wisely, even beautifully, in our family relationships? We all want that. God wants it. But we get there not by sorting things out with one another, but by seeing Christ in a new way.

This week we will explore what God has to teach us about our relationships within our family. God created the nuclear family for a reason for a purpose. A family growing in wisdom and flourishing in God’s ways will bring much joy to us and much glory to God. This week we will talk about:

  • Husbands and wives growing in wisdom towards each other
  • Children growing in wisdom towards their parents
  • Parents growing in wisdom towards their children
  • All of us growing in wisdom from the Lord
