Hunger for Legacy

Theme of the Week: Living Your Legacy

Bible Verse: I cry out to God most high, to God who fulfills His purpose for me. Psalm 57:2

Scripture Reading: Psalm 23:1-6

I don’t know what you cry out to God for, more stuff, influence, better looks or a job. David found a secret in life and that was to cry out to God for God to do His will with his life.
As a man, you only get one life, one chance to fulfill a purpose. You have the awesome responsibility to decide if it’s your purpose, someone else’s purposes or God’s purpose.

Think for a moment about when God decided to make you and give you the gifts and experiences He chose for you that you were being created to fulfill a specific destiny for God. Only you can fulfill this legacy, whether it is breaking behaviors in your family of origin, living with your wife faithfully, or being a great dad.

You and God may create products, services, invent solutions to problems in your world, country or globally. God knows the plans He has for you. He knows the legacy He has birthed in your spirit. He knows how to speak life into you though His word and fellow believers.

However, you must cry out to Him like a man. Get alone and shout to God, “You made me. You know why you made me” and let Him know you are serious about knowing His will and that you will do whatever it is to see His will be done in your life. You, as man with God on the inside of you, can fulfill a legacy if it’s God’s legacy.

Take time today to cry out for your legacy.
