Bible Verse: “For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!” (Acts 28:30-31)
Scripture Reading: Acts 28:1-31
There is, as always, so much that we did not cover that took place in Acts. The miraculous ways that God confirmed His message to the Gentiles. The power and presence of God in and among His disciples, freeing some from prison while Paul stayed under arrest.
We have witnessed God’s work through the power of His Spirit and the faithfulness of His people. A movement that began with a few men has grown to stretch out over the world. From a few Jewish men, Jesus’ followers now include the Gentile nations.
God has begun to reclaim His good Creation that was lost in the Fall.
We find ourselves part of this story. We are the next chapter in the continuing saga of how God is working out His plan of salvation and claiming authority over His Kingdom.
Men, what role do you play in God’s great drama? What are your speaking lines and your acting cues? How do you fill your role to be a disciple who makes disciples? God’s story is still being played out every day across the globe. There are still people to be told of the way of Jesus; there are still groups to be reached.
Will you extend your hand?
Prayer: Gracious God, thank You for building Your Church from all the peoples of the earth. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of Your family. Help me to live into Your story well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Reflection: Ask God for the boldness you need to proclaim the Gospel and the Kingdom.
