Theme of the Week: Real Men Love, Cherish and Value All Women
Bible Verse: “So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female.” Genesis 1:27
Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:26-31
Genesis 1 describes God’s creative work. God is behind everything we see. His work climaxed in the creation of humanity. We’re important to God!
Genesis 1:27 teaches us that we are made in God’s image. This means that we embody some of God’s characteristics and that he’s placed us in the world to do his work. He made us to resemble him and to act as his representatives.
Amazingly, Genesis 1:27 says that both men and women are made in God’s image. From page 1, the Bible dignifies both men and women. It takes both men and women to fulfill our calling as God’s representatives on earth. Both men and women matter.
Real men understand the dignity of women. Women are made in God’s image. They’re equal before God. Right from the beginning of Scripture, God makes it clear how much women matter to him.
How do you see women? Do you treat them with the dignity that God has granted them? Pray that God will allow you to see the women in your life the same way that he sees them.
