Walking with Jesus

Theme of the Week: Walking with Jesus

Bible Verse: “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one. We are in the true one—that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.” 1 John 5:20

Scripture Reading: 1 John 5:13-21

The Voice and The Masked Singer are the top two most popular reality TV shows in 2021. Both TV shows have a similar premise: You don’t have the full picture of the contestants.

There was a very popular show in the ’50s called “To Tell the Truth.” The show featured three contestants who all claimed to be the same person. It was the job of a four-member celebrity panel to determine which contestant was telling the truth. The show always ended with the question, “Will the real __________, please stand up?”

The result was always a big surprise! Now imagine you’re in that TV show. There are three contestants claiming to be Jesus, and you need to determine who one is the real deal.

So which Jesus will you choose? Will you choose the stained-glass window Jesus? The puppy-eyed Jesus? The revolutionary Jesus? Or, will you choose the real Jesus of the Bible who loves you and yet challenges you to change?

Join us this week as we walk with Jesus, and through his life, learn more about who he is, how to recognize him and ultimately, how to become more like Jesus. Share this video devotional with your friends, and invite them to join us by subscribing to our daily devotionals.
