From the time he was a kid, Corey dreamed of making his own music. In his 20’s that pipe-dream became a reality, as he toured Canada as a member of the band Neon Dreams, playing shows, doing radio interviews, and getting gold records.
The problem? Everything about his lifestyle – flying, being in cars, interviews, playing shows – produced crippling anxiety. So he began coping with that by taking anxiety medication that he soon became addicted to.
Corey had to make the incredibly difficult decision to stop touring with the band, potentially ending the music career.
It wasn’t long after that his soon-to-be-wife brought him to church. The message that day spoke directly to him and started him on a path towards realizing his true purpose. His biggest realization was that even if things didn’t turn out the way he imagined them, God always had a better plan for him.
