In The Midst of Suffering

In Daily Devotional, Life Issues, Purpose by Mauricio Rosa

Theme of the Week: Suffering

Bible Verse: “But I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the end, he will stand on the dust. Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet I will see God in my flesh.” Job 19:25-26 CSB

Scripture Reading: Psalm 91: 1-16

How does a good God allow bad things to happen to good people? Isn’t this a question that many people often wonder about?

Facing any hardship and suffering can be devastating. Fear of the unknown, fear of death, fear of losing someone, and many other fears are reminders of our limitations and, in many circumstances, our powerlessness.

What do we do when challenged by such moments? Where do we look for hope? Who do we talk to for encouragement?

We invite you to watch this video where Mauricio and Christin Rosa share about the last four years of their lives that have been marked by many challenges and suffering – yet God was in the midst of it all.

Join us this week in our devotionals as we explore the theme of suffering. Invite and share with a friend and discover that even if we can’t understand the “why’s” of suffering, by looking at the cross, we can be sure that God cares.
