Take a Breath

Bible Verse: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Scripture Reading: Psalm 62:1-8

It feels like the whole world is in a panic over the coronavirus. What do we do in moments like this? Over the next several days, and maybe even weeks, we are going to interrupt our regularly scheduled devotionals to focus on what it looks like to be a godly man in moments like this one.

Here is where I want to encourage us to start today – take a breath. I’m serious. Stop what you are doing and thinking about right now and take three deep breaths.

Now focus.

God is not in a panic. I know you know this already, but in this moment let the truth sink deep into your soul.

Here are God’s promises to you from Isaiah 41:10. “I am with you. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.”

For this moment, take a breath (or two or three). Rest in the reality of who God is and who you are to Him.
