According to the PEW Research Center, nearly half of adults in their 40’s and 50’s have a parent over the age of 65 and are simultaneously either raising a young child, or financially supporting a grown child. Although these are American statistics, the reality is similar here in Canada. We call this the “Sandwich Generation”.
