Theme of the Week: Faith and Work
Bible Verse: “The LORD God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and watch over it.” Genesis 2:15
What do our jobs have to do with God? Does God care what we do for work? Why can work be just so difficult?
Sometimes we have a hard time making the connection between our faith and our jobs. I heard one pastor admit recently that he’d committed pastoral malpractice because he had failed to give his congregation a biblical understanding of work.
We can’t afford to do that. We spend most of our lives working, and we need to understand what God has to say about our work lives and careers.
This week we’re going to look at what the Bible has to say about our work. We’re going to see that he created us for work and that he really cares about our work lives, and that we can glorify him with our jobs.
