KD Pumpkin Spice

Kraft on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
Kraft Dinner is weirdly popular in Canada. According to Wikipedia, it’s almost our national dish. Canadians purchase 1.7 million of the 7 million boxes of KD that are sold globally each week. Let that sink in. Kraft Dinner might be more popular in Canada than butter tarts or poutine.

Everyone has their own “recipe” to make Kraft Dinner special. Some people use heavy cream instead of milk to make it richer. Others mix in ketchup or add hot dogs or vegetables.

Kraft introduced a new flavour this fall: Pumpkin Spice KD. It’s the classic you know and love with added fall flavours: hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger. Pumpkin Spice KD was announced with a wink, offering a waiting list for a limited run of just 1,000 boxes. To me, that smells like a delicious publicity stunt.

Canadians love KD, and we love a good joke. Stay tuned for Gingerbread and Candy Cane KD, coming this Christmas.

Fun with Magnets

Apple Canada
Apple’s new iPhone 12 has powerful magnets embedded in the back. This new feature, called MagSafe, makes it possible to add and remove accessories more easily. They just click into place and stay put until you remove them.

Apple previously used MagSafe in some laptop power cords. If you tripped or pulled on the cord, the MagSafe connector would pop loose instead of pulling the laptop off the table or across the room.

The first MagSafe iPhone accessories will be a wireless charger, a wallet, and a special case. More MagSafe products will likely follow as this new feature attracts attention.
