How to Become a Praying Man

In Culture, Podcast by Jordan Harnum

Developing a vibrant prayer life can be a transformative journey for Christian men, but not without its challenges.

In a world filled with distractions and demands, carving out intentional time for prayer can seem daunting. The busyness of work, family responsibilities, and social obligations often compete for attention, making it difficult to prioritize prayer. Doubts and questions may creep in, raising concerns about the effectiveness or relevance of prayer in the modern age. Distractions, both external and internal, can pull focus away from communing with God. Moreover, maintaining consistency in prayer can be a struggle, as life’s ups and downs can sometimes dampen enthusiasm.

Despite all this, we are still encouraged to pray. But why? Is it just a means to a selfish end? To get what we want? Or does God have something greater for men than that?

In this episode, Jordan and Andrew discuss their own struggles with developing a prayer life and some of the tips and tricks that helped them take some steps forward in this area. As well, they share their own experience of starting a prayer group at each of their local churches.
